My kids make me laugh. And cry. And turn gray (what’s left anyway).
They make me crazy. And fall in love everyday. It’s a pretty good deal, this parenting thing. But, man it’s tough.
It’s not supposed to be easy, though.
Welcome to livingdad, where we will talk about what it’s like to live, work, play and survive the pot-hole filled road of life with two kids asking if we are there yet.
We’ll talk juggling schedules with mom and dad and kids running in a hundred directions, dealing with sick kiddos (and that hassles that causes with two working parents) and the funny things kids say and do. And what’s life like with a daughter who is a miniature version of her mom, phobias and all?
But there’s more to it than that. My kids are blessed; they get to see their grandparents every single day since we all live under the same roof. It’s like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, with extra beds and without the yummy goodness. It makes for an interesting family dynamic that occasionally ends with a series of slamming doors and a house full of people separated from the rest of the world.
It’ll be fun. If it’s not, you’re not in the right place.
